So, one of the primary benefits of CBD for ADHD is its ability to reduce anxiety and stress by calming the nervous system.

People with ADHD often experience high levels of stress and anxiety, often exacerbated by a variety of different reasons, ranging from medication to exhaustion, to an inability to focus and/or concentrate.

Recent studies have shown that CBD can help to improve cognitive performance, including focus and concentration also having the knock-on effect of reducing anxiety and stress levels, helping people with ADHD to better manage their symptoms and stay on task.

CBD has also been shown, to not only help regulate sleep patterns but also improve sleep quality, helping people with ADHD to get the rest they so often desperately need. A known symptom of ADHD sufferers is difficulty sleeping, having dysregulated and irregular sleep patterns, leading to an increase in symptoms such as ADHD paralysis, issues with short-term and working memory, and executive dysfunction during the day, often creating a vicious cycle of increased stress, leading to diminished sleep quality. and increased symptoms... NOT fun.

Finally, as CBD can help calm the mind, it has also been shown to reduce impulsivity. People living with ADHD often have difficulty controlling their impulses, which can lead to impulsive behavior (often mistaken for hyperactivity or 'bad behavior'). CBD has been shown to reduce impulsivity, which can help people with ADHD to better manage their symptoms and make social situations more enjoyable!

Overall, there is a substantial body of evidence that CBD may be beneficial for those with ADHD. While more research is constantly being undertaken to fully understand the effects of CBD on ADHD, the current body of evidence suggests that it can be a helpful tool for managing the daily struggles that it entails.
